Site visits to a few of our residential projects under construction

At A’Bear and Ball Architects LLP, our team continues to be very busy delivering high-quality projects on site for a number of our clients, but we’re aware we don’t always share these with our contacts as much as we should!

Going forward, we plan to put this right and will be increasing our posts over the next few weeks and months to share our exciting range of projects from early concept design work, schemes that have obtained planning permission, site photos of projects under construction and of course photos of completed schemes!

With that being said, we have recently been making a lot of site visits to a number of our projects that are currently under construction. It’s been great to see these schemes taking shape, and we look forward to when they finish and we can share completion photos!

Three of our recent site visits across our regional area include a self-build project in Oxfordshire, a remodelling and extension scheme in Berkshire and a renovation and extension in Wiltshire.

Netherton Road – Appleton, Oxfordshire

It was a damp and dreary site visit to our project in Appleton, but it was great to see our 3,000 sq ft contemporary self-build progressing well.

The scheme involves putting a complete new first floor storey of timber framed accommodation over a heavily remodelled existing masonry bungalow. Feature gables running front to back provide a striking frontage and contribute to the varied architectural character of the area.

Donnington Square – Newbury, Berkshire

It was also great to see the work well underway at our project in Newbury with Blue Tongue Construction.

The scheme, which was granted planning permission late last year, includes the introduction of several large new openings in the rear and side of the existing house. The temporary propping is now in place ready for the openings to be cut.

The Knoll – Swindon, Wiltshire

At one of our projects in Swindon, Austen Dawson has been installing the new loft floor in preparation for the forming of the dormer of the new full width dormer, which is due to start imminently.

Corner posts for the feature glazed dining room have also been installed. We are looking forward to enjoying the long-reaching views to the North Wessex Downs AONB.

We look forward to sharing more progress updates on these projects in due course!
