Co-founder Rob is cycling LEJOG in support of Helen and Douglas House

We are excited to announce that our co-founder and partner Rob A’Bear has signed up to cycle the iconic ‘LEJOG’ (Lands’ End to John O’Groats) in early June!

He will be cycling the 1,000 mile self-funded journey as part of a team of 10 from the Witney-based cycling club ‘Mickey Cranks’.

Across 10 days from Sunday 4 June to Tuesday 13 June, Rob will be cycling the full length of mainland Britain.

Along the way, he’ll pass through Cornwall and Devon, across the Severn Bridge into Wales, over the rolling hills of Shropshire and advancing to the rugged hills of the Borders before completing the journey amongst the magnificence of Scotland.

About Helen & Douglas House

Rob is riding in support of Helen & Douglas House, a hospice charity based in Oxford that helps babies, children and young people living with life-limiting and terminal conditions and their families.

The hospice helps local families cope with the challenges of looking after a terminally ill child. And it’s a place where families can make the most of their time together and create happy memories.

How to donate to this great cause

Rob is hoping to raise £2,500 for Helen & Douglas House. After only a week of fundraising, he has already raised £260 for this wonderful cause.

This amazing charity is also our nominated charity of the year at A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP, so you’ll see more about them on our website and social media throughout 2023.

If you’d like to join us in donating, please check out Rob’s JustGiving page! Making a donation is easy and secure through JustGiving. Any donations will be automatically sent to Helen & Douglas House.

We look forward to sharing more about Helen & Douglas House and how Rob is getting on with his training in due course!
