Co-founder Rob has raised more than £1k for Helen and Douglas House

We wanted to say thank you to everyone who has donated so far to Helen & Douglas House in support of Rob’s 1,000-mile cycle ride from Lands’ End to John O’Groats in early June!

Rob is hoping to raise £2,500 for Helen & Douglas House. After 1.5 months of fundraising, he has already raised more than £1,000 for this wonderful cause, which is over 40% of his goal.

And with less than two months until he starts his journey cycling the full length of mainland Britain, Rob has been actively stepping up the miles on his turbo trainer at home!

What Helen & Douglas House does and how to donate

Based in Oxford, but supporting families from surrounding counties, Helen & Douglas House is a warm, homely place for local children living with life-limiting and terminal conditions, and their families.

They provide round-the-clock loving care in a comforting environment. Their hospice is filled with laughter, whilst also being a peaceful place where families can create happy memories in their last days, weeks, months or years together.

Helen & Douglas House started as Helen House back in 1982. As the world’s first children’s hospice, Helen House has gone on to inspire 54 others across the UK and around the world.

The charity needs to raise over £3 million each year to care for local terminally ill children at the hospice and at home. For more insight into what Helen & Douglas House does and why they’d be so grateful for your support, check out this video.

This amazing charity is also our nominated charity of the year at A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP. If you’d like to donate, please visit Rob’s JustGiving page. Any and every donation is really much appreciated!

Making a donation is easy and secure through JustGiving. Any donations will be automatically sent to Helen & Douglas House.
