A’Bear and Ball Architects is on the move and growing

Despite the challenging couple of years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP has grown substantially. The Practice has had a continuously increasing workload with more projects on the go than ever before, and the project sizes have been expanding too.

In order to keep up with our ever-growing workload and to further increase our capacity, we have hired two new employees and moved to a bigger office.

Growing the team

In recent years, we have continued to grow our team at A’Bear & Ball Architects. In June 2021, we welcomed Gavin Fraser as a Project Architect. He recently became a Certified Passivhaus Designer. His expertise in low energy approaches has strengthened our ability to deliver a growing number of residential schemes with ultra-low energy designs.

Additionally, this April, we brought on two new employees. We have welcomed Katie New as an Architectural Technologist and Taryn Booth as an Office Manager. This gives us extra expertise and resources to be able to continue to grow the Practice and take on more projects.

Katie comes with over six years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist, producing working drawings, building regulations drawings and drawings for Tender. We also are supporting her to gain Charted Institute of Architectural Technologists accreditation, so she will become a fully accredited Architectural Technologist in the near future!

Taryn joins our team with more than 10 years of office management experience. She will be instrumental in helping reduce the administrative burden on our two Partners, freeing up their time for additional architecture and design work.

We are really excited to see our Practice grow with the help of our new members of staff!

Office move

To allow room for our team’s growth, we’ve also moved office! The new office will provide much-needed additional space and will better facilitate more collaborative work in the office. While all of our staff members have hybrid working arrangements, we want our employees to be as comfortable as possible when they’re in the office.

With our move from Shrivenham to Abingdon, we’re excited to be a part of the local business community here and are looking forward to welcoming our clients and fellow consultants to our new office. We always have great coffee and biscuits on hand, so come say hello and meet our new staff members if you’re passing by!

We’re looking forward to another year of growth ahead. Check out our portfolio to see some of the recent projects we’ve been working on, and please get in touch if you’d like to discuss how we can work together.
