A’Bear and Ball Architects continue to operate remotely and safely

As England has entered its third country-wide lockdown, A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP remains fully open for business. We are still working remotely and are committed to safe working practices in all aspects of our work. The Practice has taken a range of measures to protect our staff, clients and fellow consultants, and we will continue to reassess our working methods to ensure safety.

We are also using a flexible working approach to accommodate our staff who are fitting work around ‘home schooling’ children and other childcare duties. However, we will still remain at a high level of availability and continue to deliver ongoing high quality architectural services to our range of clients.

Practice updates

A'Bear & Ball Architects - The Studio

Even though 2020 was a challenging year with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was a busy 12 months for A’Bear & Ball Architects. We had the pleasure of working on a range of exciting projects and even saw many projects complete that we are really proud of.

Additionally, during the year, we quickly adapted to the new normal and are confident with our remote working setup, allowing us to continue with ‘business as usual’. Our team has regular video conference meetings to ensure full continuity of project delivery. All of our designs are fully digital, and we already receive most of our communications electronically.

Moving forward, A’Bear & Ball Architects has a range of unique projects in the works. And we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel with two COVID-19 vaccines being rolled out in the UK. We look forward to when we can get back to more normality and safely meet with our clients and consultants face-to-face again.

Construction industry updates

During the lockdown, construction sites are allowed to remain open as long as health and safety and social distancing measures are followed. Builders merchants have been classed as essential retail and are allowed to stay open, and tradespeople are also allowed to continue working in people’s homes.

This allows work to continue on many of our projects being built out. If work on our sites gets impacted, we will liaise with our trusted partner contractors to keep those affected updated and ensure every effort is made to mitigate the impact.

Site inspections for the Practice’s ongoing construction projects will be kept to an absolute minimum. However, if any essential visits need to be undertaken, we will follow social distancing protocols and wear face coverings.

As always, Partners, Rob A’Bear and Damon Ball, remain contactable at all times to discuss any project-related matters. We are committed to helping our clients, partnering contractors and consultants wherever possible throughout this challenging time. If you have any questions, please email studio@abear-ball.co.uk.

Happy New Year & please stay safe!
