Conservation / Heritage

A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP has a growing track record of creating designs for conservation and heritage architectural projects. Having worked on a number of Listed Buildings and developments in Conservation Areas and Areas of Outstanding Beauty, the Practice continues to get more new commissions.

With experience developing sensitive design approaches that respect historic buildings and the local context, A’Bear & Ball Architects understands the importance for these types of projects to respect their surroundings and reflect design queues in the surrounding area.

Below is an example of one of the heritage projects where A’Bear & Ball Architects worked as lead architects. The Practice helped obtain Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the redevelopment of Longfords Mill, a Grade II Listed Building in the Cotswolds.

It was formerly a woollen mill and had been redundant since it was vacated in 1990. The new design included a transformation of the site into eight contemporary flats.
