Shrivenham Sports Pavilion

The new Shrivenham Sports Pavilion was designed by A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP for the Shrivenham Parish Council. The modern design of the community building includes traditional materials, which matches the nearby Grade II Listed Memorial Hall and respects its sensitive location in the Conservation Area.

This sports pavilion will provide changing and social facilities for the Shrivenham Cricket Club. The building will also accommodate a range of indoor fitness and sports activities for the local community. This includes exercise classes, children’s tennis, martial arts, table tennis and short mat bowls.

After obtaining planning permission from the Vale of White Horse, local firm A’Bear & Ball Architects prepared full detailed design information for tender and construction purposes and obtained Building Regulations Approval for the works. Construction on the Shrivenham Sports Pavilion has now started with completion planned before the end of 2021.

The Shrivenham Sports Pavilion had its official opening in October 2022. We really enjoyed seeing this project progress over the years and are glad to see the facilities on offer to the local community. The sports pavilion was also shortlisted for Development of the Year at the 2022 Thames Valley Property Awards.
