Curbridge Gardens

A scheme of five contemporary low energy homes in Ducklington, Oxfordshire was designed by A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP. The site was an under-utilised infill site. The proposals include the demolition of an existing bungalow and the erection of five homes with parking, an internal private road, landscaping and amenity space.

The Practice used a landscape led design approach. The homes have a contemporary design language paired with a traditional form. Buff brick is used to reflect the site’s immediate context. The stained vertical timber cladding is then used to reflect the nearby outbuildings, while also contrasting the buff brick.

A’Bear & Ball Architects was the lead architect on this project, which obtained planning permission in February 2021. Construction is expected to start on this project in late 2021.

This development will provide flexible living spaces, embodying Lifetime Home standards and modern living. We are excited to see these contemporary homes built out and are looking forward to having professional photographs taken once construction is completed.
