A’Bear and Ball Architects LLP shortlisted for Homebuilding and Renovating Award
A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP has been shortlisted for The Daily Telegraph Homebuilding & Renovating Awards 2021. The Practice’s project Chapel House is featured on this prestigious shortlist. We are so thrilled to have one of our schemes on the list!
The Daily Telegraph Homebuilding & Renovating Awards has been championing Britain’s most inspiring homes for nearly 30 years. One of the 23 shortlisted projects will be chosen as Home of the Year 2021 in the Readers’ Choice award.
The judges narrowed down this year’s entries and were “blown away by the creativity and spirit shown in 2021”. Voting is open until Monday 4 October. Please vote for our Chapel House project!
Chapel House
A’Bear & Ball Architects LLP transformed the former Methodist church near Faringdon, Oxfordshire into an elegant family home with a contemporary extension and extensive refurbishment and conversion. With a delicate touch, the scheme celebrates the original period and ecclesiastical detailing.
The cedar and metal clad extension added an extra 85m2 of living space and created a clear distinction between the old red brick building and the new modern structure. A’Bear & Ball Architects was also named the Best Architect or Designer for a Renovation or Extension Project at the 2020 Build It Awards for the Practice’s work on Chapel House.
